Strains deposited here can be stored at -80°C as well as lyophilized (in ampoules). In the spirit of promoting open science, strains publicly deposited will be part of the catalogue and thus visible and accessible for consultation by the researchers worldwide. Of course, this will ensure greater visibility for the corresponding scientific work and thus lead to more citations.

Some key points to remember:

• Public deposit is free of charge.
• Depositors are notified when their strains are used for control and have a say in the potential use of said strains for research purposes.
• Depositors comply with international laws for benefit sharing and Nagoya Protocol.
